Happy April world.

This month is super exciting for me, because I will be entering 2 fitness transformation challenges.

Lukas Duncan 8 Week Challenge

The first one is a personal challenge to myself. It is an 8 week transformation challenge.  I was on Instagram and kept seeing 8 week before and after photos of people who had varying degrees of success.

I clicked on a link and was taken to the account of Lukas Duncan.  He’s running a special. So, I immediately jumped on this deal and payed $50 to have an online personal trainer design a training and nutrition program to help me reach my fitness goals in 8 weeks.

And, the truth is that my fitness goals are not that extravagant.  My short term goal is to weigh less than 200 pounds. My long term goal is to NOT have my belly hang over my pants.

Yesterday, I went shopping based on the meal plan that was assigned to me. I ended up purchasing about $110 in food, just for me. Hello folks, I still have to feed the rest of the members in my family. So, today I will go shopping for them. So, yes eating healthy is costly. This food will only get me through the week.

April 7, 2017 is Day 1 and I had my first work out. The workout was intense. My thighs and calves are screaming bloody murder.

I’m just super excited because I feel like for once in my life I know what to eat to reach my fitness goals. Exercise has never been my weakness. My weaknesses are butter pecan ice cream, banana bread, and bowls of white rice.

Bodybuilding.com Transformation Challenge

The next challenge that I will enter this month is a public transformation challenge.  It is the 8 week #StillInIt17 challenge.

I have been a member of this community for a long time. And, my follow through has been less than stellar when it comes to entering and finishing the challenges.

But, since this challenge coincides with my personal challenge I am more determined than ever to complete it.  The Still In It 2017 challenge starts the last week of April. So, hopefully within the next few weeks I will adopt some new habits that catapult me to success.


In Summary

I have made the commitment to honor myself and God by being the best me I can. And, throughout this process I will renew not only my body, but also my mind.
