5 Ways to Lose 10 (or More) Pounds in 8 weeks

So, this is a quick summary of how I lost over 10 pounds in 8 weeks.
1. I Decided to Change
I told myself that I was simply exhausted with being obese. Each time that I went to the doctor’s office I would be lectured about how my body mass index (BMI) was too high.
I explained to my doctor that I exercised regularly, but she made it clear to me that my eating habits were what would make the difference.
Another, turning point for me was a challenge that I issued to myself. I stated that “I would have a flat stomach by the end of the year.”
And, chasing that goal of a flat stomach seems to be what is fueling my fire.
2. I Hired a Personal Trainer
I was scrolling on Instagram and I was browsing many weight loss success pictures. I continued to see these 8 week transformations.
All of the people looked like average people in their Day 1 pics, but I was blown away by the results that I saw in the Final 8 week photos.
So, I took a leap of faith and hired Lukas Duncan from LBD Training to be my online personal trainer.
The deciding factors for me were:
- I saw realistic testimonies
- His price was affordable.
And, it was a great decision. My trainer gave me a meal plan, exercise guidance, and I had to do check-ins every two weeks for accountability.
3. I Followed the Plan Given to Me
It is always easy to begin any plan. The hard part is sticking to the plan and not attempting to modify something.
When I received the plan via email I thought to myself:
- Why this rep range?
- Why this amount of cardio?
- Why can’t I eat this?
- Why can I eat that?
It seems that we always think we know better. I wasn’t always 100% compliant with the plan, but I still managed to make significant progress.
4. Exercise Consistently
It is a must that to lose weight you must increase your physical activity. This increase in physical activity can be done in manner different ways:
Changing your routine after a few weeks is always good because your body will adapt eventually.
So, get up out of your seat and commit to moving your body.
5. Eat Right and Change Your Relationship with Food
Think of the food that you put into your body as fuel. You want to fuel your body with healthy and natural foods.
There is no need to take an all or nothing approach, but you do want to become aware of what you are eating.
Start reading food labels. Shop in the outer section of the grocery store – this is where your meats, poultry, seafood, vegetables, and fruits, are placed.
Pay attention to how your body feels when you eat something.
Overtime your taste buds will change. For example, I still eat unhealthy foods on occasion. Today for example I ate half of a red velvet donut and salt and vinegar potato chips. The truth is it didn’t even taste that great. But, my brain just wanted it.
Giving into your cravings every once in a while won’t sabotage your program, but overindulging will. So, check those portion sizes.
